Ultra Fine Bubble Disinfection and Sterilizing Technology
Our ultra fine bubble ozone gas technology has made it possible to use ozonized water safely for purifying and sterilizing better than traditional diffusion technologies. We already have successful examples in tertiary treatment of wastewater, cleaning, and food sterilization.
Our VH lamps generate energy at 185-nm in addition to the 254-nm germicidal wavelength and produce large Amounts of ozone from air. 185-nm photons are absorbed by ambient air where oxygen molecules (O²) are dissociated into two oxygen atoms (O+O), forming ozone (O³) by collision with an oxygen molecule. Photons with a wavelength of 254-nm can split O-H, C-H, C-C, and C-O bonds, but 185-nm photons break even higher energetic bonds like C=C And O-O, producing the most ozone possible from a UV wavelength, approximately 85% more ozone production than the Non-VH lamps used in most consumer ozone machines.
When using Ozone UFB the water source needs to be investigated for Bromide. Bromate, BrO3- disinfection byproduct, the oxidized form of bromide (Br-) naturally in many sources of water. Forms in ozone Br-+ O3 > BrO3, a component found disinfection process, a possible carcinogen and monitored by EPA MCL of 10 ppb. Bromate influential parameters proportional to bromide and ozone dose. Increases in pH increased bromate formation. Increases in temperature, increased bromate formation and increases in reaction kinetics. Increase in organic content decreased bromate formation.
